- Develop and manage suppliers strategically to support the growth of the business.
- Partner with suppliers for increased supply chain efficiency, improved cash flow management and strategic initiatives that benefit both parties.
- Develop suppliers as strategic partners, integrating them within the business goals and objectives.
- Develop a high-performance team of Procurement professionals, focusing on developing skillsets and careers.
- Drive efficiency and consistency in the use of system tools and data. Rely on data and create transparency.
- Bring a strategic mindset to identifying and mitigating risk in the supply base. Organize and drive cross-functional efforts to solve operational issues.
- Create metric- and data-driven processes that focus resources on highest value-add to the business, such as supplier selection, performance management, and procurement strategies.
- Develop purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JSOX and other financial regulations.
- Create processes that balance efficiency and rigor in key processes such as Supplier Selection, Request for Proposals, and price negotiation.
- Demonstrate ownership as a strategic member of the Global Supply Chain Management team, sometimes taking on tasks or responsibilities outside of immediate functional scope. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience in procurement.
- A minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
- Expert knowledge of ERP, purchase order/payment systems, and MRP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated technical acumen within medical device implants and delivery systems.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- MBA
- Strong organizational skills and experience developing procurement processes in a medium-large size operation. Demonstrated ability to work closely and profitably with a broad set of stakeholders: Finance, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing functions.
- Extensive knowledge of the procurement and materials management fields.
- Working experience with SAP and Ariba.
- Experience networking with the supplier base that supports medical device implants and delivery systems.
