💡 Your Mission

As Director, Procurement, you will play a key role in SPI’s overall performance. Acting as both a strategic and operational leader, you will optimize our procurement practices, build strong supplier partnerships, and mobilize your team to achieve business objectives.

You will also be responsible for the management of the cooperative fund and all performance levers related to procurement.

🎯 Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead and develop your teamCoach, engage, and grow the procurement team (buyers and supervisor) to achieve—and exceed—performance goals. Build strategic partnerships 🤝Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including negotiation, performance management, forecasting, and replacement rates. Optimize inventory management 📦Ensure the right balance between availability, turnover, and service levels. Collaborate to drive performanceWork closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to support growth and profitability. Leverage technology 💻Maximize the use and efficiency of ERP systems and technological tools. Act as a strategic guardianOversee and proactively manage the cooperative fund and market logistics program. Drive performance through metrics 📊Contribute to the development and monitoring of procurement and logistics KPIs.

📈 What Success Looks Like

Maintain or increase customer satisfaction to 95%+; Achieve optimal inventory turnover levels; Meet or exceed revenue targets tied to supplier contributions (cooperative fund & market logistics); Achieve DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding) targets.

✅ What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a distribution environment; Strong understanding of import processes and international logistics; Proficiency with an ERP system; Collaborative leadership with the ability to influence cross-functional teams; Excellent negotiation and strategic partnership skills; Advanced expertise in inventory management; Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make informed, strategic decisions quickly; Bilingualism (French & English) required.
