The Procurement Director leads the organization's strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and risk while supporting business objectives. The Procurement Director partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, spend optimization, and process improvement.
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices.
- Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on procurement trends, risks, and opportunities.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and vendor onboarding.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, innovation, and reliable supply.
- Evaluate supplier performance through established scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks.
- Drive supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives, where applicable.
Contract Management
- Oversee negotiation and management of complex supplier agreements.
- Ensure contracts achieve favorable commercial, legal, and operational outcomes.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to manage contract compliance and performance.
- Monitor contract renewals and renegotiation opportunities.
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage procurement budgets and spending controls.
- Analyze spend data and market trends to support business decisions.
- Develop and monitor procurement metrics, cost savings, and value creation initiatives.
- Ensure effective inventory, purchasing, and supply management practices where applicable.
- Drive efficiency through procurement systems, automation, and process improvements.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, IT, Legal, and other business leaders to understand procurement needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on sourcing strategies and purchasing decisions.
- Support business growth, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives through effective procurement planning.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop procurement professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance goals and career development plans for team members.
- Build organizational procurement capabilities and succession plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives.
- Demonstrated success negotiating high-value contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement transformation initiatives.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa) preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
- Base salary range: $150-165k.
- This position is eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
