About This Role
The Director of Procurement is a strategic and operational leader responsible for enterprise-wide sourcing, contracting, and supplier management across Geronimo Power’s development, construction, and operations portfolio.
This role drives value creation through disciplined procurement strategies, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strong supplier partnerships—ensuring on-time project delivery and alignment with company growth objectives in renewable energy and powered infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Leadership
- Lead enterprise procurement strategy across EPC, major equipment, and indirect spend categories
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, schedule, and risk
- Partner with senior leadership to align procurement strategy with business objectives and project pipeline
Sourcing, Contracting & Commercial Management
- Oversee strategic sourcing, RFP/RFQ processes, and supplier selection
- Negotiate master service agreements, supply contracts, and EPC-related agreements
- Establish and maintain standardized contract management frameworks and governance
- Ensure favorable commercial terms, including risk allocation, pricing structures, and performance guarantees
Supplier & Market Management
- Build and manage relationships with Tier 1 suppliers, EPC contractors, and logistics partners
- Monitor market trends (pricing, tariffs, supply constraints) and proactively adjust strategies
- Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement across quality, service, and cost
Project & Operations Integration
- Partner cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Asset Management teams
- Support project delivery through procurement planning, scheduling alignment, and risk identification
- Lead procurement input into Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP), forecasting, and inventory strategy
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including tariff exposure, logistics, and supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
- Establish contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply and project execution
Process, Systems & Analytics
- Develop procurement analytics, KPIs, and reporting to support executive decision-making
- Implement and optimize procurement systems, tools, and data management capabilities
- Drive best practices in procurement operations, inventory control, and demand planning
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing procurement team
- Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing
- 7 years of leadership experience managing teams and complex vendor ecosystems
- Experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred

Pay Range for the posted level: $160,000 – 240,000 plus target annual bonus opportunity of 35%. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and demonstrated market-relevant expertise
