Director of Accounting

A well-established global manufacturer with a long-tenured US leadership team is seeking a Director of Accounting to join its Los Angeles headquarters. This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Controller, with broad ownership of the accounting function across multiple legal entities and countries.

The Role

You will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple legal entities spanning multiple countries, including month-end close, account reconciliations, consolidations, intercompany accounting, technical accounting, and coordination with the external audit team. You will also serve as a key liaison with the international parent company on reporting requirements.

This role is built for someone who wants to grow — the expectation is that the right candidate develops into the Controller over time.

What We're Looking For

• CPA required (active or inactive)
• Big 4 or national firm foundation, OR a career built in accounting at large, complex manufacturing companies
• Strong technical accounting background — journal entries, reconciliations, close process, consolidations
• Multi-entity and international experience a plus
• ERP proficiency preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
