Description & Requirements

• Lead the development of Information Reporting and Withholding Tax practice that focuses on information reporting and withholding for companies in the financial services sector to ensure compliance with U.S. internal revenue code section 871(m), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulations and standards, Qualified Intermediary (QI) Agreement, and OECD Common Reporting Standards (CMR). Projects in this area could include.
• Lead and manage Information Reporting and Withholding Tax practice team dedicated to serving clients in the financial services sector with FATCA and CRS reporting obligations.
• Lead and manage the delivery of a full-range Information Reporting and Withholding Tax compliance (U.S. Forms 1042/1042-S/1099) for companies in the financial services sector, include large banks, asset managers and insurance companies.
• Develop operational models and centralized processes for Information Reporting and Withholding Tax practice.
• Applying personal tax technical acumen to each client project.
• Typical client projects could include the following:
• Lead FATCA quality review, providing detailed findings and operational improvements;
• Implement FATCA and CRS Strategy for compliance with regulatory requirements; 
• Ongoing US information reporting and withholding compliance; 
• Assist clients with transforming how data is organized and analyzed for information reporting and withholding tax purpose; and
• Assist clients with developing and enhancing internal processes and technology to support operational practices and ensure timely and accurate information reporting filings.
• Assist in leadership of staffing, assistance in providing career path opportunities, identification, and development of engagement opportunities, and help determine the strategic direction of the Information Reporting and Withholding practice. 
• Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and execute, based on firm focus and future of the tax service line. 
• Demonstrate company values and alignment with the firm’s mission and long-term vision. 
• Responsibilities with respect to the above would include: 
• Growing and developing team members, 
• Business development, 
• Heavy client communications, 
• Billing and collecting. 

• CPA, Juris Doctor/LLM Taxation, Enrolled Agent or M.B.A. 
• 9 years or more of U.S. tax with a focus in information reporting in a CPA or law firm, or financial company 
• Strong analytical, research, computational, data analysis, writing, and planning skills
