Credit Controller – France, Denmark & Switzerland

Location: Paris, France
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Team: Part of the Finance department, reporting to the France Finance Manager

Where we need you:

The Finance team plays a critical role in supporting sustainable business growth while protecting the company’s financial health. As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing credit management, accounts receivable activities, and collections across France, Denmark, and Switzerland. You will partner closely with Sales, Finance, and external stakeholders to manage credit risk, optimize cash flow, and support continuous process improvement.

Scope of the role:

The position supports three entities within the business:

• Perfetti Van Melle France (60%)
• Perfetti Van Melle Denmark (20%)
• Perfetti Van Melle Switzerland (20%)

Travel requirement: approximately 5–10%.

Your core responsibilities at a glance:

• Define and maintain credit policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
• Review and approve customer credit exposure, new customer accounts, and order-related credit decisions.
• Perform external and internal credit assessments and monitor customer risk profiles.
• Manage credit-related escalations and provide recommendations to support business growth while minimizing risk.
• Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
• Lead collections activities for assigned customer portfolios and support the resolution of payment disputes.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to balance customer service and risk management objectives.
• Drive process standardization, harmonization, and automation initiatives, including RPA opportunities.
• Prepare reporting and analysis related to customer accounts, collections performance, and credit exposure.

The ideal recipe for our new Credit Controller:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with a strong focus on Credit Management in B2B sector.
• Experience with SAP systems is desirable. (S/4HANA considered an advantage)
• Fluent in French and English.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing large volumes of financial data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
