ABOUT HENSLEY CPA FIRM PA

Hensley CPA Firm PA is a growing, 23-person public accounting firm based in Frisco, Texas, serving small and medium-sized businesses across a wide range of industries. We go well beyond tax compliance -- we are the accounting department for our clients. Our team manages full-service engagements that include monthly bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, financial reporting, tax planning, and CFO-level advisory services.

We are a close-knit, high-performing team that takes our work seriously and has a lot of fun doing it. If you are looking for a firm where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and no two days are exactly the same, you have found the right place.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our Client Services team as a CFO. This is a senior-level individual contributor and team lead role. The title reflects the level of expertise and advisory value you will deliver to a dedicated portfolio of business clients who are counting on us as their outsourced financial leadership. Come help us grow our team and help support clients as their businesses grow!

You will own a book of business end to end: reviewing monthly financials produced by Client Managers on your team, preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing proactive tax planning and financial advisory services, and serving as the senior point of contact for high-level client matters. You will also directly supervise one or more Client Managers and play a key role in their professional development.

We are looking for someone who is sharp, proactive, client-focused, and ready to lead. If you wait to be told what to do each morning, this is probably not the role for you. If you thrive on owning your work, building relationships, and delivering real value to the businesses you serve -- read on.

Multi-entity or complex structure experience (S-Corps, partnerships, real estate entities, holding companies)

WHAT WE'RE REALLY LOOKING FOR

Technical skills are table stakes. What sets our CFOs apart is a combination of professional ownership, genuine curiosity about our clients' businesses, and the kind of proactive judgment that doesn't require hand-holding. Here's what that looks like in practice:

You treat your clients like partners, not accounts

You communicate clearly and confidently with business owners who don't speak accounting
