and overhead; own the annual standard cost roll. - Production Variances: Analyze purchase price, material usage, labor, and overhead
variances; investigate root causes with operations and report findings to leadership. - Inventory Valuation: Own inventory valuation across raw materials, work in process, and
finished goods, including reserves for excess and obsolete inventory. - Overhead Allocation: Design and maintain overhead absorption methodologies across sites
and production lines - Cycle Counts: Oversee cycle count programs and physical inventory procedures; investigate
and resolve discrepancies. - Margin Analysis: Provide product-level and process-level cost and margin analysis to
support pricing, capital, and process decisions. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Work directly with production, engineering, supply chain, and
procurement to ensure BOMs, routings, and cost inputs reflect reality. - Close and Audit: Own cost-related close activities, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
- Grants: Support cost accounting on sponsored and government-funded programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 7+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
