- Aggregates and compiles accounting cost reports showing total cost, selling prices, rates profits, or other cost information needed for proper cost accounting.
- Calculates individual items, such as labor, materials, and time costs, relationship of sales or revenues to cost, and overhead expenditures.
- Prepares and examines records such as time and production sheets, timekeeping and payroll records, operations charts, and schedules, to obtain data for calculations.
- Assists in developing and maintaining accurate standard costs for current and new products.
- Works closely with the Accounting and Production teams and performs analysis as needed.
- Assists in monthly closing activities as they relate to the areas of COGS - including standard costs, freight, manufacturing costs and all variances.
- Works with the Accounting team on the annual physical inventory process.
- Maintains and ensures accurate and timely perpetual inventory and General Ledger reconciliation.
- Assists in providing analysis to internal customers.
- Assists in other general accounting areas, as needed.
- Possess or are working toward associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 months working in an accounting function related to cost accounting, financial analysis, and/or general accounting.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
