We're seeking someone to join as an Associate in Treasury to support the management of the Firm's Asia-Pacific legal entities. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process. What you'll do in the role: - Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm - Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products - Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls - Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards - Prepare and review Treasury materials for key governance and regulatory forums - Manage intercompany loan agreements and adherence to local regulatory requirements - Analyze legal entity balance sheets to evaluate the need for changes in the funding profile - Monitor and analyze intercompany balances and transactions - Govern new funding requests and special funding arrangements - Execute processes for reviewing limits covering lending between affiliates - Lead/execute strategic Treasury projects such as dividends, infusions, restructuring, forecasting and optimization activities - Produce ad hoc materials in response management and regulatory requests - Prepare/update policies, procedures and regular reporting - Build a close working relationship with other groups within Corporate Treasury, as well as with Sales and Trading, Structuring, Risk, Controllers, Legal, Tax, and Operations What you'll bring: - Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences - Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers - Understanding of regulatory requirements in regards to Treasury activities - Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across both local offices and globally - Proficient analytical capabilities, including ability to summarise complex business problems, detailed analysis and solutions with clarity - The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products - At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
