Job Summary

Reporting to the Global Director, Finance and Accounting, the Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the global consolidation of Safeguard's more than 20 legal entities, accurate and timely financial reporting, and oversight of the company’s compliance with US GAAP. Ideal candidates will possess experience in corporate accounting within a global organization, particularly in consolidations, technical accounting research, and external financial reporting. This position also entails overseeing the annual external audit, managing both internal and external consolidated reporting, conducting technical accounting research, drafting white papers, and developing and maintaining Corporate Accounting Policies in alignment with US GAAP. A strong technical understanding of US GAAP is essential, along with the ability to research emerging topics, including the implementation of new accounting standards.

Physical Requirements Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, grasping, and reaching. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, to color code.

 Mental Requirements This position requires the ability to: maintain an appropriate work pace, comprehend, write, and follow instructions, exercise logic and reasoning, read, communicate verbally and in writing, make decisions, count, and compute, multi-task/re-direct and experience numerous interruptions.  This position requires the ability to maintain the highest standards of professional maturity and emotional intelligence even in difficult or stressful situations. 

Other Requirements Occasional travel may be required, domestic and international (<10%)

 Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
