Full-time Description

About the Company:

Miami Freedom Park, LLC (MFP) is developing the new home of Inter Miami CF (IMCF) within a 131-acre master planned site. The multi-phased project includes the construction of a new 25,000 seat stadium alongside a 55-acre public park, 4,700 structured parking stalls and over 1 million square feet of mixed-use development comprising retail, entertainment, commercial office, and hotel elements.

Inter Miami CF (IMCF or the Club) is a Major League Soccer club competing in the Eastern Conference, owned by Miami Beckham United (MBU) and playing at its newly developed permanent stadium (Nu Stadium).

IMCF and MFP are connected through common ownership and highly integrated in their operations. This role will be initially situated in IMCF but with a concentration on the MFP business.

IMCF and MFP operate a growing and complex business spanning professional sports, live events, stadium operations, retail, food and beverage, sponsorships, and media which is supported by a lean Finance and Accounting function responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, cash management, and investor relations across multiple legal entities.

Position Summary:

Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer of IMCF, the Controller will serve as the MFP’s senior accounting leader, responsible for establishing and leading the internal accounting function. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to architect the systems, policies, processes, and team structure that will underpin a large-scale development platform through its most formative years and beyond.

The Controller will be the primary steward of the company's financial records, reporting, and controls, while simultaneously serving as a key advisor to executive leadership on matters of financial planning, compliance, and operational decision-making. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer to develop the transformation playbook and manage the implementation of MFP’s accounting operations, pivoting from a third-party staff augmentation model to a fully integrated, in-house capability.
