POSITION SUMMARY

The Group Controller will be responsible for leading financial oversight of multiple RealTruck manufacturing sites and their respective local finance site leads. This will include providing guidance and directing the local financial team leaders through the monthly closing processes for successful, timely delivery of the reconciled financial statements so they are prepared accurately in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP. This role will ensure, through the leadership of their local financial teams, that SOX controls operate in compliance with company policy. TheGroup Controller will guide the local finance team leads through the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting processes providing strategic thought leadership. Additionally, this position will be accountable for driving review of financial statement variance analysis identifying risks and impacts. As a key business partner to senior leadership, the role will collaborate with corporate and local leadership to serve as a champion of company strategic initiatives including productivity and cost savings through lean manufacturing activities and key performance indicators.  This role will build and lead high-performing teams through identification and elimination of non-value-add activities, best practice sharing, coaching and career development, and chair employment engagement activities.

Education and Experience

Required Licenses

·         CPA or CMA preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

·         Skilled in Microsoft Excel.

·         Thorough understanding of data management systems.

·         Excellent cost accounting skills; standard cost skills is highly desired.

·         Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Travel

·         25-50% travel required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

·         This position plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·         This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

·         This position is subject to the following physical activities: talking, hearing, the use of hands, wrists, or fingers in repetitive motions. 

Visual Acuity: 

·         The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

·         This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
