Controller

(Waggaman, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Controller to oversee all financial reporting and accounting operations. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Controller will lead the accounting team, support budgeting and forecasting activities, manage audits, and provide financial guidance to leadership while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

Essential Duties:
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger activities and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate and lead annual audit preparation and audit support activities.
• Monitor departmental performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to leadership.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Address personnel matters, performance management, and team development activities.

Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA license preferred; CPA eligible candidates will also be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting management experience in a medium to large organization.
• Experience with ERP systems implementation or upgrades is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
