What it takes for you to be successful in this role:

As our Controller, you will own our financial administration and drive modern efficiency from start to finish. 

Your core duties will involve:

• Ensuring the accurate, complete, and timely closing of the financial administration for Dutch and foreign entities, overseeing and making bookkeeping entries when needed.

• Managing the monthly global consolidation process, ensuring a single, accurate view of our international financial performance.

• Improving our financial systems (Exact Online) and their integration with other platforms (HubSpot, Jira), while preparing the business to implement a state-of-the-art ERP system in the future.

• Executing the annual budgeting process, translating business goals into clear financial plans.

• Utilizing AI and modern tech tools to build efficient processes, advanced reporting, dynamic dashboarding, and workflow automation.

• Serving as the primary, authoritative contact for external auditors during the annual accounts process.

• Work closely with the finance and administration team to streamline day-to-day operations and maintain strict financial governance.

What You bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in financial control or senior accounting, ideally within an international, multi-entity environment.

• Proven track record managing monthly global consolidation processes and annual budgeting cycles.

• Fluent in English and Dutch languages.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (we use Exact Online), and a strong understanding of integrating financial systems with commercial tools like HubSpot and Jira.

• A tech-forward mindset with a passion for embedding AI, advanced reporting, and automation into daily financial workflows.
• Experience acting as the main point of contact for external auditors during annual closings.
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to balance rigorous compliance with business agility.
