Location: New Holland, PA Country Lane Gazebos is looking for an experienced Controller to lead our day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role oversees the accounting team, maintains accurate financial records, and helps ensure our financial systems support the continued growth of the business. About the Role The Controller is responsible for the daily accounting operations at Country Lane Gazebos. This position oversees the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting systems while leading a small accounting team. Working closely with ownership and executive leadership, you'll help ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Manage the monthly financial close process, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports for ownership and executive leadership.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Monitor banking activity and perform monthly bank, payroll, and credit card reconciliations.
- Oversee the daily activities of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting functions.
- Manage customer credit, collections, and aging reports while helping reduce financial risk.
- Coordinate vendor payments, recurring expenses, and cash flow activities.
- Support inventory accounting, quarterly inventory counts, and product costing.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
- Serve as the primary accounting system administrator for NetSuite.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and better accounting processes.
- Support the continued development of reporting tools, dashboards, and financial workflows.
- Work with other departments to improve financial accuracy and streamline operations.
- Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team.
- Provide guidance, training, and accountability while promoting accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with ownership and department leaders by providing meaningful financial analysis and business insights.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state sales tax requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain company licenses, registrations, and financial documentation.
- Assist with annual audits, banking relationships, and insurance documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience with cloud-based ERP systems required; NetSuite experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or construction accounting is a plus.
- Ability to work in a professional office environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking through production areas or inventory locations to support inventory counts and operational projects.
