Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Commercial Financial Manager will be responsible for customer and product level profitability analysis, financial modeling of new business initiatives, and collaborating with the supply chain and commercial organizations on business initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, and innovation teams to provide financial guidance and influence key business decisions.
- Develop product, customer, and channel level profitability analyses with actionable insights
- Lead modeling of new business initiatives (i.e., innovation, renovation, new markets, etc)
- Identify cost-saving and margin-improvement opportunities within the commercial organization.
- Assess trade and promotional performance
- Provide pricing support to the sales team
- Work with the commercial and operations functions to understand current year performance drivers and adjust as necessary to meet forecast commitments
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects that support long-term business strategy.
Required Skills & Abilities:

- At least 3 years of experience in finance within the CPG and/or retail sectors
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- High proficiency with ERP systems and excel
- Excellent analytical skills, able to model complex data and develop actionable insights
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, high performing environment
- Strong experience working closely with sales and marketing leadership to support business objectives.
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Experience with financial reporting and BI tools, industry data tools, and trade promotion management systems
Education & Experience:
- BS in Finance, Economics, Business or other similar field. MS degree or MBA a strong plus.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in consumer goods manufacturing strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Occasional travel required
