NET Credit Union is seeking a visionary, high-energy Chief Financial Officer to direct our financial strategy and drive enterprise value. As a crucial partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, you will look beyond the spreadsheet numbers to identify market opportunities, optimize operational rhythms, and spearhead capital allocation. This role requires an agile executive who effortlessly balances risk management with aggressive corporate growth
Experience: Five to ten years of similar or related experience
Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent experience
Requirements- Participate as a full member of the credit union's management team. Oversee budget planning, preparation and administration processes to control operating expenses and achieve credit union's strategic direction
- Communicates with the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee and management team regarding strategic recommendations, financial results and policies which affect the credit union to assure that they are informed about matters which affect the credit union
- Directly or through subordinates, oversee and manage the financial and accounting functions of the credit union to include: ALM, AP/AR, budgets, collections, G/L, financial analysis, financial reporting and recordkeeping, investments, payroll and taxes. This includes all associated reconciliations
- Directly or through subordinates, oversee and manage the Risk Management functions of the credit union
- Develop and manage the credit union annual budget. Lead and/or oversee cost reduction projects/initiatives. Ensure proper management of the credit unions net income
- Ensure that the credit union's financial records are accurately maintained and continuously prepared for any and all audits
- Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the Accounting Department and/or other departments as needed. Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current regulations and are communicated to and implemented by subordinates
- May direct and supervise development, production, promotion and sale of the credit union's products and services
- Attend all board meetings. Present monthly reports to the board of directors and senior management. Assist in board packet management and/or assembly
- Attend and/or lead strategic planning sessions an/or initiatives
- Directly liaison between the credit union, supervisory committee and external auditors and NCUA examiners. Ensure needs of the supervisory committee are being satisfied including assistance in scheduling meetings, training events etc.
- Participate as a member of the ALCO committee. Provide direction for plan model runs and deposit and loan rate setting.
- Manage and/or participate in the management of the credit union investment portfolio
- Provide guidance and/or serve as a trustee of the credit union's pension plan
- Participate in periodic staff meetings. Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments or changes in services. Keep staff up-to-date on trends and general credit union information
- Assist with vendor and/or lease negotiation and major purchasing decisions for capital equipment or other capital asset expenditures
- Assist in analysis of new branch site locations and closings of existing branches
- Develop, perform and/or oversee various internal audit procedures, i.e. cash counts, teller drawer audits, review of employee accounts, loan documentation, wire transfers etc.
- Serve as the credit union's liaison during all audits and examinations
- Other duties as assigned
