Responsibilities & Requirements

Provides executive leadership, direction, and coordination for the financial performance and stewardship of assigned hospital campus(es). Serves as the campus Chief Financial Officer and principal financial advisor to the Hospital President and campus executive team, translating system priorities into actionable campus plans and ensuring accountability for sustainable financial and operational results.

Partners across Kettering Health to integrate finance, operations, quality, growth, patient experience, and workforce considerations into executive decision-making. Advances consistent practices across the system while responding appropriately to the needs and operating realities of the assigned campus(es).

Preferred Qualifications

Required: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.

Required: Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, including significant responsibility for hospital financial performance, budgeting, operational analysis, and executive decision support.

Demonstrated: Success building collaborative relationships, leading performance improvement, communicating with executive and governance audiences, and directing complex planning and implementation efforts.

Preferred: CPA, FHFMA, CHFP, or another relevant professional certification.

Preferred: Experience within an integrated health system, multi-campus environment, physician enterprise, partnership, or joint-venture structure.

Ongoing: Participation in appropriate continuing education and maintenance of current healthcare-finance knowledge.
