Overview

This executive leadership position has full ownership of enterprise financial strategy across a high-quality integrated casino hotel property including casino gaming, hotel operations, food & beverage, entertainment venues, loyalty programs and digital gaming initiatives. The incumbent has a deep understanding of regulatory, operational, and compliance who elevates financial performance, optimizes cost structures, guides capital strategy, ensures rigorous regulatory compliance, and partners closely with operations to drive improving profitability through revenue expansion and cost controls in an increasingly competitive gaming environment. This position reports to the President and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Financial Strategy, Planning & Analysis
- Strategic Planning: Lead the development of long-range financial strategies aligned with organizational growth, digital innovation, and market expansion.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee enterprise budgeting, multi-property forecasting models, departmental performance reviews, and scenario planning.
- Financial Modeling: Build predictive analytics and financial models to support hotel occupancy projections, gaming revenues, labor models, player behavioral patterns, department KPI’s, and promotional ROI.
- Performance Optimization: Identify margin-improvement opportunities across gaming floors, F&B outlets, hotel operations, and entertainment venues through financial analysis and profit and loss reviews.
- Casino & Gaming Financial Operations
- Gaming-Specific Controls: Ensure compliance with Enterprise Rancheria Gaming Commission (ERGC) regulations, internal controls, cage operations, slot/accounting integrity, and gaming audits.
- Revenue Accounting: Oversee gaming revenue recognition, table drop/hold analysis, slot performance analytics, and non-gaming financial streams.
- Risk Mitigation: Implement robust financial safeguards to prevent fraud, variance anomalies, or procedural deficiencies.
- Compliance Reporting: Maintain timely reporting to federal/state authorities, ERGC, and audit committees.
- Corporate Finance, Treasury & Capital Strategy
- Capital Structure: Evaluate and optimize capital structure, debt financing, refinancing opportunities, and liquidity management. Evaluate investment opportunities and manage operational/maintenance capital expenditures.
- Treasury Operations: Oversee cash flow planning, banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategies.
- M&A Strategy: Lead due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and property expansions; analyze financial viability and integration planning.
- Investor Relations: Serve as the primary liaison for shareholders and financial institutions, ensuring transparency and confidence in financial outlook.
- Controls, Audit, Governance & Regulatory Oversight
- Governance: Maintain strict adherence to gaming regulations, hospitality compliance standards, and financial reporting accuracy.
- Internal Audit: Oversee internal audit programs, risk assessments, control enhancements, and cross-property compliance reporting.
- Enterprise Risk Management: Develop risk mitigation strategies addressing operational, financial, cyber, and regulatory exposures.
- Regulatory Alignment: Partner with gaming commissions, auditors, and government bodies to maintain impeccable compliance.
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service. 
- Hires, motivates, evaluates and directs management and other staff in order to ensure team members receive adequate guidance to achieve established department objectives; responsible for morale of department and its team members through quality supervision and training.
- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.      
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Operations, services and activities of a comprehensive finance and accounting program.
- Advanced principles and practices of financial and accounting management, program development and administration.
- Gaming/lottery industry, including the role as it related to various principles and practices of a capital and operational budget.
- Principles and practices and their application to a wide variety of financial transactions.
- Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with Light & Wonder, NetSuite, UKG, etc preferred.
- Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Tribal gaming experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
This knowledge and these abilities is typically acquired through a MBA, master’s degree in Finance (CPA is a plus), plus 10 to 15 years accounting and/or finance experience working for a Gaming company in a senior level management role required. Experience working on hospitality development projects preferred.

- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
