STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To administer and manage the District business and financial affairs. This includes: Supervising a team of 5 including all accounting operations, all business and non-certified administrative office personnel Managing the financial affairs of the school district Managing all accounting operations Preparing the annual budget under the direction of the Superintendent and administers a budget control program. Act as advisor to the Superintendent on all questions relating to the business and financial affairs of the district. Developing and supervising district policies as related to internal controls, purchasing, and student activities accounts. Supporting districts and schools with strategic allocation of resources and shared decision making. Facilitating, directing, and assessing the work of professional, technical, and non-certified staff. Oversight and administration of School Nutrition Programs Managing all accounting operations – including financial forecasting and reporting, cash flow analysis and reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, year-end financial reporting and fiscal year rollover, Federal, State and local reporting as well as RIDE reporting requirements (per Statewide Uniform Chart of Accounts) and Auditing. Oversee all phases of the Payroll operation of the District. Assumes responsibility for the procurement cycle, including the bid process, in accordance with the existing procurement and policies. Performing all other such duties as directed by the Superintendent of Schools.

Teamwork and mutually supportive methods are ascribed outcomes and are necessary for providing high quality service and achieving high standards of performance. Work must be conducted in ways that include and involve those who have a stake in the outcome and must ensure that issues related to equity and special needs are addressed in a comprehensive fashion. The context for this work must be strong advocacy for students and schools.
EDUCATION: College graduate with advanced degree in business, economics, education or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in the field of business administration in a school district, a post-secondary institution, government or industry.
OR: Any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
