 JOB TITLE:  BOOKKEEPER 

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires at minimum: a high school education and 1-3 years related experience.

A passing score on the Ky. Paraprofessional Test or 60 college credits.

Must be computer literate and be able to operate all office equipment,

i.e., calculator, fax machine, copier, multi-line phone, etc.

Individual must have good organizational skills; be able to work independently with little or no supervision; and have good communication skills.

REPORTS TO:

Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and maintain financial records. Assist Principal, Faculty and Staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures set forth by Redbook and the Board of

Education.

JOB DUTIES:

BUDGET

Assist faculty and staff with Preparation of activity fund budgets annually.

Monitor activity fund accounts in addition to funds allocated by the Board of Education.

PURCHASING

Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders utilizing EPES and Munis software programs.

Review vendor invoices, obtain appropriate signatures and pay accordingly.

HANDLING CASH

Receive and verify funds for deposit following appropriate procedures and prepare receipts.

RECORDKEEPING

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

Reconcile bank statement, prepare financial reports and distribute on a monthly basis

FUNDRAISING

Monitor fundraising activities to ensure policies and procedures are followed.

TICKET SALES

Issue starting change, tickets, and requisition and report of ticket sales form for athletic events.

OTHER

Serve as liason between the high school and central office with regards to financial matters.

Serve as courier between school and central office for transport of documents on a daily basis and back-up courier for taking cafeteria and school deposits to bank when necessary.

Receive, log and arrange for distribution of parcels delivered to the school.

Assist with front office duties as needed.

Attend and participate in meetings as required.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Principal.
