Role: Billing SpecialistDuration: 6-month contract to start, with strong potential for extension/conversionWork type: Onsite USAPay: $45 per hourOur leading client, an AI-powered technology solutions provider, is seeking a Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing and managing customer billing, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, have a strong attention to detail, and be eager to contribute to the smooth operation of the billing process. This is an onsite contract position based in our Sacramento, CA office, focused on state contract billing using NetSuite and BluLogix. Strong attention to detail and state contract billing experience are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Generate and process accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Review contracts, agreements, and service orders to ensure billing aligns with terms.
- Ensure billing accuracy by reconciling invoices with customer records and agreements.
- Maintain and update customer billing information in our systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
- Respond to billing inquiries from internal teams and customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies and adjust invoices as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end billing close processes.
- Track and manage billing schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Perform routine data entry and maintain accurate records of invoices and payments.
- Assist in the generation of reports related to billing and receivables.
- Support audit processes by providing requested documentation and clarifications.
- Customer Relations: Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding complex billing queries, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
- Additional assignments by Management
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, and ServiceNow (Preferred)
- State contract billing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with NetSuite and BluLogix required
- Strong attention to detail strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with all levels of personnel
- Great work ethic, attention to detail an accuracy
- Advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Adaptable to a changing, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to provide exceptional client service through a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of duties
- Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary confidentiality, integrity and professional presentation and conduct

- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Work experience as a Billing Analyst or similar role
- in finance or accounting
