Title: Associate, Fund Accounting
Location: Cleveland, OH (onsite)
Duration: W2 full-time role
Description:
In this role, you will require a high-level understanding of our client’s vehicles and the related processes/workflows. You will support the investment and accounting functions on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients and advisors in a variety of different scenarios handling complex and time-sensitive initiatives that require precision and judgment
- Managing Capital Call/Distribution Activity for all client related vehicles and the corresponding deliverables to advisors/custodians+
- Maintenance of the Accounting workbooks and reconciliation processes for month end work cross-functionally across Accounting, Advisor Support, and Fund Services teams to streamline workflows and ensure that client and internal deliverables are completed with the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Delegate work to correct teams while keeping tabs on all moving parts
- Oversee daily operations related to capital calls, distributions, and investor communications across multiple investment vehicles
- Be able to provide various reports of client information as requested by advisors
- Understand and maintain a proactive comprehension of investment vehicles and their operational requirements to anticipate roadblocks and drive solutions
- Manage capital calls and distributions and communication of such to advisors
- Create trade tickets for capital calls and distributions, and submit to third party administrator and custodian bank for multi-factor authentication and completion
- Reconciliation of the accounting books and cash accounts for month/quarter end closes
- Support the production of quarterly statements and audit private equity funds’ activity across various reporting periods
- Serve as the escalation point for complex, urgent, or high-sensitivity operational matters – also able to communicate exceptionally well with internal and external personnel on such matters
- Respond to audit confirmation requests from private equity and hedge fund managers
- Initiate or improve accounting processes to gain efficiency while maintaining data integrity and consistency
- Able to facilitate multiple projects concurrently, while maintaining a respectable level of timeliness in delivery
