Associate Fund Accountant

Associate Fund Accountant Hybrid Work Schedule in Livingston, NJ (three days in office per week) Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Some of the things you will be doing: Prepare and maintain accounting records, supporting schedules, and financial reports for assigned clients Process and reconcile cash activity, including recording journal entries and preparing wire transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Record and reconcile investment activity, such as purchases and sales, and interest accruals/income Prepare and maintain comprehensive workpapers that fully reconcile and support the trial balance Prepare IRS Form 1099 in compliance with regulatory requirements Ensure standard procedures and controls are adhered to Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve inquiries, and provide status updates Ensure all processes are in line with the SLA and escalate when needed Support the year end audit process as well as SOC 1 audit and SBA exam Participate in projects focused on improving operational efficiency, including automation of Excel-based calculations and enhancement of workpaper processes Perform internal tasks, including mandatory training and time tracking What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need? BS Degree in Accounting preferred or other degree with strong foundation in accounting principles through relevant coursework Experience in fund or partnership accounting, with a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles a plus Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, XIRR, and use of named ranges Experience with Investran or similar fund accounting system(s) a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach Attention to detail and strong organizational skills At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual.
