Assistant Controller

Position Summary

Provide support to the Controller with Accounts Payable and all other Controller related tasks as requested. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Ultimately, the Assistant Controller contributes to the financial health and transparency of the organization by ensuring timely and accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial close processes
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and account reconciliations
• Assist in the HR department with safety, work comp claim, and onboarding
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Oversee accounts payable, inventory management, and payroll processing
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Assist with sales tax filings, insurance, and benefit renewals

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
