Location
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Sandersville, Georgia, where you'll work closely with leadership and operations to drive financial success.
Note
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, and the ability to work on-site in Sandersville, GA. Construction, industrial services, or project-based accounting experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Lead the day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Oversee the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and maintain Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules and perform cost-to-complete and profitability analysis.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 using percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Partner with project managers and operations leaders to analyze job performance, budgets, and margin trends.
- Manage customer billing, progress billings, retainage tracking, and AIA billing where applicable.
- Oversee vendor payment processes and maintain strong AP controls.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and support collections and cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting procedures.
- Support audits, tax filings, bonding requests, lender reporting, and post-acquisition integration initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong job cost accounting and WIP reporting experience.
- Experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- ERP system experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
- Construction, industrial, electrical, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
