- Assist in managing daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Partner with operations to analyze production costs, labor efficiencies, and material usage.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Plex, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Plex preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Detail oriented and sound decision-making skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
