Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller with deep Costpoint and GovCon expertise to support the Controller and oversee the accounting function. This role is ideal for a senior‑level consultant with audit, compliance, and leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support oversight of all accounting operations and close cycles
- Review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA standards
- Partner with the Controller on audits, budgets, and forecasting
- Improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Act as subject‑matter expert for Deltek Costpoint and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced Deltek Costpoint proficiency required
- Strong GovCon background including audits and compliance
- Proven leadership and process‑improvement experience
