Work Schedule: This is a 12-month classified position with an assigned work schedule of 25 to 40 hours per week. Applicants should indicate their preferred weekly schedule in their application or cover letter. The District will establish the selected candidate’s schedule in consultation with the candidate and based on the operational needs of the position. Remaining hours may then be assigned through a separate part-time position.
SUMMARY: Assists with business office and human resources functions in support of school district operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides administrative and clerical support for business office and human resources operations.
- Assists with tracking and administering employee leaves, including FMLA, OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon, and other District leave programs; maintains associated records and documentation.
- Assists with the administration of workers’ compensation claims, including claim reporting, documentation, recordkeeping, and communication with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and the District’s workers’ compensation carrier, as appropriate.
- Assists with payroll-related activities, including timesheets, leave reporting, employee changes, and recordkeeping.
- Assists with accounts payable, purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, deposits, and other financial transactions.
- Maintains accurate financial, payroll, personnel, and benefit records in accordance with district procedures and applicable laws.
- Assists with employee hiring processes, including posting positions, receiving applications, scheduling interviews, preparing employment documents, and maintaining applicant records.
- Supports employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, leave administration, and other personnel-related processes.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, forms, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for business office and human resources functions.
- Responds to routine inquiries from employees, applicants, vendors, and the public; directs more complex matters to the appropriate administrator.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee, student, financial, and other sensitive district information.
- Provides backup support to other district office staff as needed.
- Operates standard office equipment and district financial, payroll, personnel, and records-management systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college coursework or an associate degree in a closely related field is desirable.
- A reasonable degree of proficiency in typing and keyboarding.
- Knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and software.
- Understanding of the capabilities of data processing systems and demonstrated ability to work effectively within established data processing procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Such alternative qualifications as the District deems appropriate.
