POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor ensures accurate and timely billing and collection of accounts receivable. Directly supervises and evaluates the day-to-day activities of designated personnel and works cross-functionally with various teams throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews invoices to ensure everything is complete and aligns with contract specifications
Coaches / trains staff on technical work and soft skills, such as customer service
Prepares and maintains well-defined reports for use in tracking and analyzing invoices to be billed, accounts receivable aging, deposits, collections, and other AR items
Supervises activities designed to validate that accounts receivable data flows correctly into all accounting and reporting systems; provides leadership when troubleshooting issues resulting from these activities
Seeks opportunities to modify or enhance current business processes to ensure optimal productivity
Builds and maintains strong relationships with others throughout the organization to develop solutions to new situations and to identify or correct problems
Compiles internal process memos, process mapping, and other documentation related to accounts receivable

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree preferred: Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance
Years of experience : 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Experience managing a team
Knowledge of advanced formulas and pivot tables in Excel
Ability to set, measure, and consistently achieve goals within established timelines
Willingness to develop team members for additional responsibility
Ability to communicate clearly both in written and verbal interactions
Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal overnight travel required; may occasionally include attendance at overnight conferences or professional development events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly completes computer work and sits.Occasionally walks and stands.Seldom or never lifts up to 50lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
☒ Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within the general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
