About the Role

As an Accounts Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for managing the money owed to the company by its customers for goods and services sold on credit. 

Day-to-day responsibilities

Create and send accurate invoices and statements to customers 

Receive and process customer payments through cash, checks, ACH or credit cards 

Ensure that customer accounts are balanced and correct discounts and credits are applied 

Make collection calls to follow up on overdue invoices on accounts and credit holds

Work with credit manager on credit applications to access customers creditworthiness 

Manage the daily cash deposit to go to the bank 

Answer basic billing questions and account reconciliations when necessary 

Customer account maintenance 

Skills we are looking for

Great eye for detail and basic math skills

1-5 years of experience working in a credit department or similar role 

Comfortable making collection calls and interacting with customers over then phone and in person 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills 

File management 

Basic Excel knowledge preferred 

Ability to multitask

Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug test and lifting test)
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
Minimally must be able to lift >25 pounds without assistance
