Accounts Receivable Clerk (Temporary, Part-Time)
Location: Burlington, ON (On-Site)
Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary
Compensation: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk for one of our clients located in Burlington, Ontario.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a small, collaborative accounting team on a temporary basis. This role is covering a medical leave and is expected to continue through the summer, with the potential for an extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive office environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and customer service. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining customer accounts and supporting the day-to-day accounting and leasing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Set up new customer lease accounts and maintain accurate account records.
- Prepare and process daily banking deposits (training provided).
- Generate invoices, statements, and other account documentation.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Assist with general administrative duties related to leasing and accounts receivable.
- Support the accounting team with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, or similar accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during month-end and mid-month peak periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience using QuickBooks is considered a strong asset.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
