Now Hiring: Accounts Payable / Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in expense reconciliation, payroll processing, and construction accounting. We value hands-on experience over formal education and are looking for a candidate who can work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review, reconcile, and process employee expense receipts submitted through Concur or similar expense management software.

• Manage and reconcile transactions made using Comdata purchasing cards.

• Assist with accounts payable functions, invoice processing, and vendor payments.

• Process in-house payroll and maintain payroll records.

• Support month-end closing activities and reporting.

• Track and allocate expenses to appropriate projects and cost codes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Concur or similar expense reporting software.

• Familiarity with Comdata purchasing cards.

• Construction accounting and job costing experience preferred.

• Experience processing in-house payroll.

• Davis-Bacon payroll experience is highly preferred and may qualify candidates for top pay.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting pay of $25+/hour, depending on experience.

• Stable Monday–Friday schedule.
