Job Description

Make your mark as Accounts Payable Administrator at Smit Lamnalco!
As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions within SMIT Lamnalco’s Shared Service Center. You will support the Accounts Payable function by managing supplier invoices, payments, bank transactions, and reconciliations while contributing to efficient month-end closing activities.
Working in an international environment, you will interact with colleagues across multiple departments and maintain regular contact with vendors and external stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to develop broad finance experience within a global maritime services organization.
Your responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will:

• Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments and employee expense reimbursements.
• Monitor invoice approval workflows and follow up on outstanding items.
• Process daily bank and cash transactions, including payment allocations.
• Reconcile supplier statements, accounts payable balances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal stakeholders and vendors with invoice and payment-related queries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

What you bring

• MBO/HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Financial Administration, or General Accounting.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with invoice processing, supplier payments, and account reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, accurate way of working.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Infor/LN and AX experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Your team: You will work closely together with your Teamlead, 6 colleagues in Papendrecht en 2 colleagues in Singapore.
• Where you will work: Your location will be our office in Papendrecht and you have the option to work from home 2 days per week.
• Full/part-time job: The position of HR Officer is a full-time job (40 hours a week).
