Accounting Supervisor

HornBill has a client in Baltimore, Maryland (MD) that is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. Responsibilities include:

• Supervises and coordinates the finance staff to ensure timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements to accounting clients
• Oversees preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements and balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by staff members
• Develops, implements and maintains accounting policies and procedures regarding journal entry processing, balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets
• Ensures all tax filing deadlines are met to include Form 1099, Personal Property Returns and Unclaimed Property Filings
• Oversees preparation of MSP quarterly and annual reporting process for accounting clients
• Interacts with external auditors and coordinates audit field work

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
• Three years of professional experience in accounting and auditing as a supervisor
• Two years of experience in a healthcare organization
• Knowledge of accounting principles to establish and maintain clinic accounting system
• Knowledge of computer accounting systems, spreadsheets and applications
• Skill in using cost information to determine rate changes
• Skill in analyzing accounting information for management decision-making
• Skill in identifying and resolving accounting problems
