Finance & Accounting Supervisor
Campus Ink • Chicago, Illinois • Full Time
Posted on Thu, Oct 15, 2026
About the Role
Campus Ink is looking for a Finance & Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team and work directly with our CFO and accounting team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation who wants to expand beyond traditional accounting into financial planning and analysis, systems, and broader business decision-making.
You'll play an important role in improving our monthly close and financial reporting processes while helping build better forecasting, cash management, profitability analysis, and financial controls. As Campus Ink continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to help build the finance function and take on increasing responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Help lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and prepare financial reporting.
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other accounting activity.
- Support inventory, cost of goods sold, revenue recognition, royalty, and licensing accounting.
- Develop and document accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Build and maintain cash-flow forecasts and support treasury and working-capital management.
- Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual reporting and assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyze profitability across products, customers, sales channels, and licensing relationships.
- Support inventory planning and other financial analysis used in business decisions.
- Coordinate financial information for tax filings, audits, banking, and other external partners.
- Improve financial reporting, systems, workflows, and automation.
- Partner with the CFO on financial analysis and cross-functional projects throughout the business.
Why Campus Ink?
This isn't a role where you'll spend the next several years doing the same accounting tasks every month.
You'll work directly with the CFO and gain exposure to accounting, FP&A, treasury, inventory, ecommerce, wholesale retail, manufacturing, licensing, royalties, and strategic business decisions.
We're looking for someone who wants to help build the finance function, not simply work within it — with the opportunity to grow into increasingly senior finance leadership responsibilities as Campus Ink grows.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- 1–5 years of accounting or finance experience, with a strong accounting foundation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with financial statements, month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and an interest in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes continue to evolve.
- Curious about how businesses operate and eager to take on responsibilities beyond traditional accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance teammates.
Nice to have: Public accounting experience, CPA or CPA candidate, QuickBooks Online experience, or experience with inventory, ecommerce, retail, apparel, manufacturing, or other consumer-product businesses.
Benefits
- Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
- Retirement Plan (401k)
- Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
- Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
- Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
- Training & Development
