Please note that this opportunity is a fixed-term role with an expected duration of 12 months.

About the Position:

As part of a centralized team, the Leasing Accountant will be responsible for the general ledger accounting for leasing across international entities, balance sheet reconciliations, and the recording and management of lease data.

The position will be accountable for the management of day-to-day activities relating to leasing and ensuring compliance with US GAAP accounting standards, in particular ASC 842.

In addition, the Accountant will serve as a Global Business Services (GBS) Relationship Manager for international entities in relation to leases with responsibility for regular communication with internal customers as well as responsibility for driving compliance with policy and overall reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day Lease Accounting for International entities.

• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.

• Manage day-to-day Lease Accounting for International entities.

• Responsible for the upload and maintenance of lease records within the CoStar system.

• Responsible for supporting the timely and accurate review and posting of month-end close and accounting transactions related to leasing; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution.

• Ensure financial records are in compliance with US GAAP.

• Consistently maintain appropriate internal controls and uphold company policies & procedures.

• Build relationships with and support key contacts in Corporate Accounting, GBS, and global entities.

• Compliance with SOX requirements and testing.

• Support Internal and External Audits.

Key Skills:

• Good working knowledge of Oracle or similar integrated software products.

• Exposure to and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP Accounting policies.

• Must be proficient in managing and analyzing large data sets.

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced target driven environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.

Education and/or Experience:

• Degree in accounting or equivalent preferred and 2-4 years of relevant experience.

• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Depending on your experience, this role is expected to offer between gross 55,000 EUR and 65,000 EUR annually. We review compensation regularly to stay competitive in the market.
