Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Division of Business and Finance, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist II to join its financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of agency payroll transactions while establishing department policies and procedures to ensure seamless payroll operations. Core duties include performing bi-weekly payroll audits to guarantee correct employee compensation and appropriate funding source allocation, collaborating with external auditors during the annual audit, and generating specialized payroll reports upon request for Assistant Directors and Program Managers. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist II manages the end-to-end processing of travel claims across departments, serving as a key contributor to the agency's fiscal integrity and administrative compliance.
