We are currently seeking a highly motivated Accounting Specialist I for our Columbia office.

Summary:

The Accounting Specialist I manages the accounts receivable functions to ensure that all deposits are applied correctly in a timely manner while observing the confidentiality of client and firm matters.

Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  1. Receives and deposits revenue for the firm.
  2. Accepts, processes, and posts credit card payments from clients.
  3. Sets up and accepts all wire/ACH payments from clients.
  4. Maintains accurate records and electronic documentation.
  5. Verifies whether checks have cleared and provides check copies upon request.
  6. Works in conjunction with legal staff on non-payment or short payment issues involving clients and vendors.
  7. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
