Our client, a leading omnichannel retailer in photography, consumer electronics, and creative technology, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Associate with expertise in accounting support, financial data management, and operational accuracy.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring data integrity across accounting systems.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, documentation, and accounting data.
- Process high-volume financial information with exceptional accuracy while meeting established deadlines.
- Prepare, update, and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, reports, and operational tracking documents.
- Identify discrepancies within accounting records and assist with timely reconciliation and issue resolution.
- Maintain organized digital and physical documentation that supports audit readiness and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support accounting projects, reporting initiatives, and continuous process improvement efforts.
- Contribute to a culture of accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence across the accounting function.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, finance administration, or office administration.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable learning ERP systems, accounting software, and new technology platforms.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting, or general accounting principles.
- Experience supporting retail, eCommerce, or distribution accounting operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
