Accounting Manager

What You'll Do:

• Works independently to prepare journal entries for monthly financial statements assigned by the Director of Finance. Maintains work papers and computer schedules supporting journal entries using independent interpretation of policies and procedures related to Memorial operations. 

• Post and verifies journal entries to computerized financial system and assists Director of Finance with preparation and review of financial statements.
• Performs a range of duties as part of the manager's position, which includes but is not limited to assisting with training of new accounting staff, service as a point person for questions or escalating issues from the staff and being available for general counsel for the Director and staff as needed. 
• Manager will work with the Director to ensure smooth operation of the department and coordination of work across the team to meet the service level of the department. 
• Assist the Director with other duties assigned such as operating budget, quarterly benchmark reporting, audit, cost reporting schedules, Memorial Health Foundation, Health Partners and productivity reports.

Requirements

Completion if college education with course work in accounting, Microsoft Office, computers, or equivalent combination of education and experience, demonstrate interpersonal skills.
