Providing high quality, in-home patient care for more than 45 years, we are looking to hire an Accounting Manager to our accounting team. Some Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and budget-to-actual variance reports.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management functions.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury management activities.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
- Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements in coordination with external advisors.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor departmental spending and provide financial guidance to business leaders.
- Support strategic planning through financial analysis and reporting.
- Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or MBA.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a medium size company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in closing multiple company books and month-ends.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
- Experience with SAGE 50 and ADP Workforce Now.
- Experience in home healthcare.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Board experience
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- In-office position.
- Ability to work extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close periods.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems.
