About this Role
The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team in day-to-day operations, gaining hands-on experience in financial processes such as general ledger reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting. This internship is designed to provide exposure to corporate accounting practices and inter-company procedures while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with general ledger and account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of journal entries and basic financial reports
- Help with internal documentation and audit preparation
- Participate in month-end close activities under supervision
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by documenting workflows and identifying efficiencies
- Collaborate with other departments and operating units to ensure accurate financial data collection
- Assist in tracking inter-company transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Support the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Completed coursework in financial accounting and managerial accounting
- Junior or Senior standing in a college accounting program
- Previous internship or part-time experience in an accounting or finance role
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, QuickBooks, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative
