Reports To: Payroll Supervisor
Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk supports the Accounting Department by performing payroll, administrative, and accounting-related functions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Reporting initially to the Payroll Supervisor, this role is responsible for assisting with the processing and verification of weekly payroll, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support across various accounting functions.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment. This individual must be willing to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple areas within the Accounting Department as business needs evolve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter and verify employee time records, ensuring accurate job and equipment coding.
- Review payroll-related data for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
- Research and resolve timesheet, payroll, job costing, and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll and accounting records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with clerical and administrative tasks, including responding to emails, filing documents, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Provide support to Accounting team members on various projects and departmental initiatives.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)â¯background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
