Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk position is accountable for processing payable invoices and credit memos. Oversee all activities of the administration office, including the reception area, administration resources and the facilities.

Essential Functions

• Greet all visitors and directs proper care
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Collects mail from mailbox and distributes throughout the Company
• Manages the postage meter and supplies, applies postage for outgoing mail
• Match supplier invoices to authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receipt
• Manages, orders and stocks office supplies, coffee bars, employee snacks, and beverages
• Oversees record retention and disposal as needed
• Opens checks from mail and create deposits
• Aides in weekly accounts payable check run, pulling correspondence
• Manages open accounts payable files and files payment packets
• Analyze freight bills and research billed vs charged amount
• Creates monthly financial book
• Supports accounting department

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of general accounting or equivalent experience
• Some post high school education preferred
