Accounting Clerk 1

Amentum is seeking an Accounting Clerk I for Las Vegas, NV.

Purpose

Performs routine introductory accounting clerical operations to support the daily functions of the finance department.

Responsibilities

• Examines and verifies accounting documents for accuracy.
• Identifies errors and corrects data entries per standard procedures.
• Performs entry-level reconciliation tasks under direct supervisor guidance.
• Posts recurring financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Verifies mathematical accuracy and escalates variances to management.
• Ensures all completed work adheres strictly to internal controls.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Knowledge & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Entry-level role; prior professional accounting experience is not required.
• Strong attention to detail and basic numerical literacy.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance. 

Work Environment

• Standard office environment.
• No travel required for this position.
