The Wilner Group is partnering with a real estate organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate/Analyst to support the accounting team and provide analytical assistance to the CFO.
This role blends hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial reporting and administrative support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both transactional work and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable inquiries from tenants, vendors, and internal teams
- Process urgent payment requests within the accounting system
- Resolve utility billing and payment issues directly with service providers
- Support property accountants with documentation and journal entries
- Prepare schedules and financial analyses as needed
- Assist with year-end 1099 filings
- Manage filing of tax returns, K-1s, and financial statements in SharePoint
- Provide general accounting and administrative support to the CFO/Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of AP/AR processes
- Experience with Yardi or similar real estate software (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and document management systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
