Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure financial reporting is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applicable laws and regulations, and Corporate Accounting Standards.
- Ensure Company Financial Policies and Procedures are followed and consistent across the park.
- Assist with Accounts Payable processing by reviewing invoices for proper coding, approvals, purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation before payment.
- Support vendor management activities, including vendor setup, verification, and maintenance of vendor records.
- Process customer payment deposits, prepare bank deposits, manage cash orders, and assist with petty cash administration.
- Prepare journal entries, cash control entries, and account reconciliations, including month-end close support and accrual tracking.
- Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist with inventory audits, cost-of-sales entries, and other financial reporting activities to ensure accurate account balances.
- Research and reconcile credit card transactions, monitor company credit card coding, and support payment services activities.
- Maintain financial documentation and records retention practices while ensuring confidentiality of company information.
- Support internal and external audits, tax reporting, compliance requests, and other financial analyses or special projects.
- Collaborate with operational departments and finance team members to resolve accounting issues, improve processes, and support business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., JD Edwards) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to evaluate situations and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and provide excellent customer service.
